28i: BMW’s mighty inline 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo. Displacing just 2.0 liters, this 240-hp marvel generates 260 lb-ft of torque at just 1250 rpm, for potent thrust that kicks in right from the start and continues all the way up to 4800 rpm. It includes BMW’s award-winning High Precision Direct Injection, Valvetronic and Double VANOS technologies, and is 20 percent more fuel efficient than its 6-cylinder predecessor.

35i: 300 horsepower, 300 lb-ft of torque at 1400 rpm. The Z4 sDrive35i’s inline 6-cylinder engine with High Precision Direct Injection feeds fuel directly into each cylinder, giving you greater torque. That means quicker response and power on demand, and increased fuel economy in all driving conditions. Plus, our patented VANOS technology allows the engine to breathe more easily, which means greater power output and optimal fuel efficiency.

35is: The Z4 sDrive35i’s inline six-cylinder engine with High Precision Direct Injection feeds fuel directly into each cylinder, giving you greater torque. Our patented VANOS technology allows the engine to breathe more easily, while an enhanced engine management system includes an electronically controlled overboost function to briefly increase torque from 332 lb-ft to 369 lb-ft, providing a significant increase in acceleration.
