  Critical Calling

 Speak to a family member or colleague in a pinch.

Perhaps you forgot your mobile phone or its battery is discharged and you urgently need to speak to a family member or colleague. Don't worry. Critical Calling allows you to make up to four operator-assisted calls per year from your driver's seat. Simply push your SOS button to speak with a BMW Assist response specialist, who will then connect you to your requested party for up to five minutes. 

Traffic

 Be in the know.

BMW Assist can provide you with up-to-date information on traffic situations along your route. At the push of the SOS button or "Concierge" menu option, your BMW transmits your location and a helpful response specialist will research and advise the traffic conditions upon your request. Take advantage of this valuable service to enhance your driving experience.

Have a question or concern? Your system can put you in contact with our helpful Customer Relations staff at the touch of the SOS button or the "Customer Relations" menu option.

 BMW Search

  Google, Bloomberg and more on board

BMW Search allows online access to up-to-date fuel prices, news, weather conditions and forecasts, the latest DOW, S&P 500 and NASDAQ indices from Bloomberg, and the powerful reach of the Google Maps database - delivered on the Control Display right inside your vehicle.

With automatic transfer of your current location and destination, you can compare gas stations' pricing along the way or quickly find a desired business with just a key word. Then, with a simple menu option selection, you can start route guidance or a call on your Bluetooth® linked phone to reach your desired destination. Weather conditions and three day forecasts are available for the entire United States. Stay informed with US, world, sports, business and BMW headlines.

Pinpoint your current location and destination and send it to a smartphone or e-mail account with Send to Mail.

Available exclusively to Convenience Plan subscribers on BMW Assist and Navigation system-equipped 2009 and later Z4, 1, 3 and 7 Series and 2010 and later X5, X6, 5 and 6 Series.


 






 

  Weather

  Know the conditions.

Push your SOS button or select the "Concierge" menu option and ask for the weather conditions or forecast locally or at your destination. Use this service to plan your road trips.
 

 Concierge

 Your ultimate driving assistant.

Select the "Concierge" menu option on your radio or iDrive display for hands-free access to a friendly representative, offering assistance with restaurant and hotel recommendations, movie times and ticket information, flight arrival and departure gates and times, fuel pricing and availability, and much more.

On most 2007 and later models produced after 9/06, the destination address and phone number can even be sent directly to your BMW. This information can then be transferred to your BMW Navigation system (if so equipped) for route guidance or your Bluetooth® linked cell phone to make the call.
 



  Directions

  Find your way.

If you want to know the shortest route from Point A to B - or if you need directions to the nearest gas station, ATM, point of interest or street address, just push your SOS button or select the "Concierge" menu option on your radio or control display and a helpful response specialist will direct you.

On most 2007 and later models produced after 9/06, the destination address and phone number can even be sent directly to your BMW. This information can then be transferred to your BMW Navigation system (if so equipped) for route guidance or your Bluetooth® linked cell phone to make the call.
 



In order to receive BMW Assist services, a subscriber agreement must be completed at your local BMW center and transferred to the BMW Assist Response Center. GPS and underlying wireless services must be available and functioning; vehicle ignition must be turned on (except for Door Unlock and Stolen Vehicle Recovery), battery charged and connected and vehicle's electrical system operational; services may be limited to certain geographic areas. BMW AssistSafety & Convenience Services



At BMW, the safety and security of the driver is always a top priority. BMW Assist provides safety services that connect you with our BMW Assist Response Center, any time, day or night. To initiate the service, just push the
SOS button from within your vehicle. After a serious accident, a call is initiated automatically. The system then transmits your location and other vehicle data information to a response specialist who will help resolve your situation. BMW Assist also includes stolen vehicle recovery services, which could reduce your comprehensive insurance premium while increasing your peace of mind. And if you ever get locked out, door unlock service can be requested with just a toll-free call.

The newest BMW Assist service is called MyInfo, allowing you to send business listings and street addresses found in Google Maps directly to your BMW.

BMW Assist-equipped 2007 and later models can receive the BMW Assist Safety Plan for 4 years at no additional cost from your BMW's in-service date as part of BMW Ultimate Service.

 Automatic Collision Notification

 Help in an accident.


With BMW Assist, help is never far away. In the event of a severe accident, your BMW Assist system will automatically transmit your vehicle's location and crash information to a response specialist, who will then speak to you to determine if you are alright.

Even if you cannot speak, the Response Center will direct the appropriate emergency services to your location. If voice contact is established, the response specialist will talk to you and your passengers while a second response specialist coordinates the emergency dispatch. The response specialist will also be able to notify your emergency contacts on file and connect you to BMW Roadside Assistance if necessary.

 Emergency Request (SOS)

 Providing peace of mind.

After pressing the SOS button or selecting the "Emergency" menu option on your Control Display, your location and other important vehicle data is transmitted to the BMW Assist Response Center.

A response specialist will speak with you to determine what help is needed. The specialist can request dispatch of emergency services to your location, notify your emergency contacts on file, link you to BMW Roadside Assistance, or provide emergency directions to the nearest police station or hospital.

 Enhanced Roadside Assistance

 Help at the touch of a button.

In the event of a flat tire, empty gas tank or any other vehicle problem, the BMW Assist Response Center can link you to BMW Roadside Assistance at just the push of the "Roadside Assistance" menu option or the Wrench button. The representative will coordinate dispatch of appropriate aid to your location, even if you don't know where you are.

 MyInfo

  Connect your drive.

MyInfo* helps you to reach your destination faster, more conveniently and safely. Search for a business location or a street address from the comfort of your home, office or internet-connected cellular phone or laptop using Google Maps. With MyInfo, you can then transfer the results and even a personal note to your BMW with a click of your mouse.

Once inside the vehicle, the destination will appear under the BMW Assist menu option. You can transfer it to your BMW Navigation system (if so equipped) for immediate route guidance and can call the destination via your Bluetooth® linked phone. At the touch of a menu option, you're on your way.

You can even share MyInfo with your family, friends and colleagues and have them send destinations to you while you're on the road!

*Available on BMW Assist-equipped and activated 2008 and later X6, produced 4/08 and later, and all BMW Assist-equipped and activated 2009 and later models, except X3.

 
 Stolen Vehicle Recovery

  Protecting your valuable investment.

If your BMW is equipped with this capability* and is ever stolen, notify the BMW Assist Response Center by calling toll free 1-888-333-6118 immediately after filing your police report. The response specialist can remotely activate your BMW Assist system to locate your vehicle and then help the police recover it. This feature may even reduce your comprehensive insurance premium.

  Door Unlock

  Access in a pinch.

Your keys may be locked in your vehicle, but you're not out of luck. With Door Unlock*, all it may take is a phone call to the BMW Assist Response Center at 1-888-333-6118 to get you back behind the wheel. Once a response specialist has confirmed your name and password, a signal is sent to your vehicle to unlock it remotely. If any additional services are required, a response specialist will be happy to assist you.

*Available on BMW Assist-equipped and activated 2008 and later X3 and Z4 and all other 2007 and later models produced 9/06 and later.
 
 
 TeleService

 A premium service experience.

TeleService (Service Request) keeps you in the driver's seat, by transmitting your vehicle?s status and service needs to your BMW center automatically or manually upon your request. Your BMW service advisor will then call you to schedule a convenient appointment. This exclusive feature allows your service department to have any needed parts ready, saving you time. It also reduces the chance of a breakdown later - adding to your peace of mind.

Available on BMW Assist-equipped and activated 2004 and later 5 and 6 Series, 2006 and later 7 Series and 3 Series Sedans and Sports Wagon, 2007 and later X5 and 3 Series, 2008 and later X6 and 1 Series, and 2009 and later Z4. TeleService is not available on the X3.
