    BMW Loves the Smell of Methane in the Morning

    Victory over carbon emissions and energy costs, of course. Since construction began on the Spartanburg BMW plant in 1993, the company has put a lot of focus on cutting down carbon emissions. In the past decade they have achieved many of their goals and decreased carbon output by 30%. This is almost entirely due to the 9.5-mile methane pipeline that runs from the nearby Palmetto Landfill directly into the plant.
