BMW 3 Series Touring Wagon NOT to be Discontinued

We here at Passport BMW aren't big fans of the rumor mill. Most of the time rumors turn out not to be true, and most times they serve to do nothing more than cause needless concern over something that turns out to be a non-issue. Such, happily, is precisely the case with a recent rumor concerning the BMW 3 Series Touring Wagon.

While we're not ready to admit that we believed the rumors surrounding the discontinuation of the BMW 3 Series Touring Wagon, we will admit that we were a bit nervous about what it might mean if it were true. We are willing to admit, after all, that we're a bit nostalgic, and that true wagons are a dying breed as more drivers turn to CUVs for their automotive needs.

As for the BMW 3 Series Touring Wagon itself? In its 2012 model year, the wagon will debut in the European markets before making its way to the United States. What has everyone here at 4730 Auth Place Marlow Heights, MD 20746 really excited, however, is the fact that it will likely be bringing a diesel variant of the 2012 3 Series sedan with it.

As far as changes in the 2012 model year goes, the BMW 3 Series Touring Wagon is expected to see similar gains along with the rest of the BMW 3 Series, which includes the Sedan, ActiveHybrid 3, Touring, Coupe, Convertible, M3 Sedan, M3 Coupe and M3 Convertible. More specifically, it will be seeing features seen in the 1 Series and 5 Series, ranging from optional XDrive all-wheel drive to personalization packages.

Further details on the BMW 3 Series Touring Wagon are sure to come, so be sure to stay tuned.
